About me

I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine and I practice in Los Angeles, CA. I have a long standing interest in the Silk Road and have been learning about it for decades.

My first exposure to the Silk road was when I travelled to Turkey, Pakistan, India, and China in 1992. I have been fascinated ever since and have never stopped thinking about it.

As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, as well as a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism in the Nyingma tradition, East-West integration is a theme in my life. On top of that I am a resident of Los Angeles where the entirety of world cultures has a constant presence in my life. I am an Irish American from New England who lives in South Central Los Angeles, adjacent to Koreatown, and I serve a primarily African American and Mexican population in my acupuncture practice. I can’t help but think about these things. Funny thing is, some people seem to be bothered by these kinds of things nowadays, but I personally love it and find it fun, invigorating, and inspiring.

I hope to share my thoughts and insights here with others with similar interests, and hope to inspire lots of fun conversation.
